Found these great 'Honey Jars' in a junk shop yesterday. And quite a few followers made a comment about how lovely they are, so I'm posting them to the blog for you all to see.

I’ve always liked having a rummage through Junk/Antique shops. I just cannot resist one when I drive through a village and discover a new one. There are a few good ones here in Chichester that I pop into whenever I have a spare moment.

It is almost mandatory over a Bank Holiday Weekend, along with a good book shop or two and then off to a café for a coffee, newspaper & a full English breakfast.

I spotted these lovely ceramic ‘Honey Jars’ and they got my creative juices flowing and ‘Christmas Presents’ immediately sprang to mind. So I’ve decided to continue to collect a few more over the coming months, along with some local honey and some hand turned ‘Wooden Honey Dippers’, to make up an appealing gift. I love the one on the left, it is quite simple and like the old fashioned woven bee hives.

Not only will they be great fun to track down and haggle for, they perfectly align with my interest in Bees. They also fit in with the mantra ‘Buy Local: Eat Local’ and it also encourages recycling of other peoples unwanted ‘Honey Jars’ too.

Perfect.
